STEM SCHOLARS VISIT CWRU

September 28, 2026

Our freshman STEM Scholars took part in their first STEM Scholars Foundation Experience at Case Western Reserve University! Students received a VIP look at STEM at CWRU, visiting an engineering class, biology wet lab and Sears Think Box, where they laser cut their own STVM keychains. They learned how introductory biology students can participate in academic research studying bacteriophages in soil, connected with professors about engineering and research, and spent time with Frank Linsalata V59, STVM alumnus and generous supporter of the STEM Scholars Program. The experience concluded with a private lunch at the Linsalata Alumni Center, where students heard from CWRU Provost Joy K. Ward and university admission leaders.
