Biography

Mrs. Lancianese was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but her parents were originally from Italy. It is from her parents that she inherited her love of culture and languages.

Mrs. Lancianese graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in 1981 and became who she is today because of the impact and influences of her teachers here at STVM. She fell in love with Art in Mrs. Gorman's French Class—really!. She still remembers the day Mrs. Gorman showed her class the slides of the Impressionist paintings. From that day on, she always wanted to learn more and more and share what she learned with whomever was willing to listen. That is why she became a teacher. After studying Graphic Design and Spanish at the University of Akron, Mrs. Lancianese returned to her Alma Mater in 1990 to teach.

It was at St. Vincent-St. Mary that she met her sweet husband and best friend, Dan. She has two wonderful step-children, Angela (VM99) and Anthony (VM00). Mr. and Mrs. Lancianese also have a son, Dominic(VM20), the joy of the family!
