CLASS OF 2027 TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS

Please use the link below and follow the steps outlined to submit your official transcript requests through Naviance for your college applications.

If you are applying under a November 1st Early Action or Early Decision deadline, you must submit your transcript requests as soon as possible and no later than October 15th.

Our Fall Canned Food Drive is underway!!  Please bring in those canned goods to help us reach our STVM goal of 1200 cans! Please check out the details in this Newsletter!

Campus Ministry will be offering OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) right here at STVM for students who want to learn more about the Catholic faith and explore what it means to be part of the Catholic Church. Please see the section, Curious About Catholicism to learn all the details.

The Fall deadline for Kairos Applications is October 9, so get those applications in soon, as Fall is filling up! Please be sure to read the Kairos Dates Retreat section for the application and other important updates about Kairos.  

Sophomores and their parents please mark Thursday, October 22, down for their Sophomore Service Retreat Day.  Information and Permission Slips have been emailed home and Sophomores have received a paper copy.  

We have a couple new prayer opportunities listed in this newsletter.  Please check those out.

Will you please consider donating some snack to Campus Ministry?  We did receive some this week, but could still use some more. If you are able to donate any individual bags of chips, granola bars, or fruit snacks, that would be appreciated.

We have 10 tickets for students to attend CLE 21:6 on January 9 at John Carroll University.  The cost is $40 per person.  Myself and Mrs. Cooper will accompany these 10 students.  If you/your child would like to attend, please email Mrs. Cooper right away.

Seniors who are interested in the University of Dayton there is a great Marianist Leader Scholar Program Application below that will allow you to get $5000 scholarship over 4 years.  Check out the info below.

Canned Food Drive

Our annual Canned Food Drive is underway! We are collecting items most needed by the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, including peanut butter, jelly, canned soups, cereal, oatmeal, canned fruits and vegetables, macaroni & cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, canned pasta, chili, chicken, and tuna.

Every item makes a difference! Please bring in as many cans, boxes, and food items as you are able.

Hallow App and Hallowed Grounds

Mrs. Cooper, Assistant to Campus Ministry runs a Hallowed Grounds group every other week and would love to have you join, the next one is October 13 at 7:15 am in the Campus Ministry Office.

Akron Walk to End Alzheimer's Is This Weekend!

The Akron Walk to End Alzheimer’s is looking for student volunteers to help support this meaningful event on Saturday, October 10! There are several opportunities available throughout the weekend, including setup, event support, cheering on walkers, and teardown.

Senior Updates
SENIOR LOCK-IN & HALLWAY DECORATING

Senior Lock-In is right around the corner as part of our Homecoming festivities! This special STVM tradition gives the Class of 2027 the opportunity to spend the night at school, decorate the halls, and enjoy a memorable evening together. Watch for even more event details coming soon!

Tickets & Permission Forms
  • Permission Forms: Before buying a ticket, students must turn in a permission form signed by both the student and a parent/guardian to the Spirit Shop.
  • Ticket Sales: Tickets are $20 and must be purchased at the Spirit Shop by Wednesday, October 14, at 3:00 p.m. You must have your signed permission form submitted to purchase a ticket.
Hallway Decorating Sign-Up
  • Lock-In takes place on October 15, and it’s time for seniors to choose their hallway decorating assignments! Gather your friends, pick a space, and start planning how you will transform the halls for Homecoming.
