Part-Time Assistant to Campus Ministry

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Part-Time Assistant Campus Minister supports the spiritual, service, and faith formation efforts of the school community in the Marianist tradition. This individual collaborates with the Director of Campus Ministry and the Mission Integration Team to nurture students' spiritual growth, promote student leadership, and uphold the school’s Catholic identity.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Faith Formation and Spiritual Leadership
  • Model a prayerful and faith-filled life for students.
  • Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and pastoral presence among students.
  • Foster student leadership and involvement in Campus Ministry programs.
  • Support the coordination and facilitation of student retreats and other faith formation programs.
  • Attend Marianist LIFE (Living In Faith Experience) Summer Program and be present at Marianist LIFE nights and other related spiritual and formation events.
Service and Outreach
  • Help organize service projects and community outreach efforts.
  • Supervise students at daytime and after-school service programs.
  • Encourage student participation in Christian service as an expression of faith.
Program Support and Logistics
  • Provide logistical support for Campus Ministry events (communications, promotion, setup, materials, transportation, etc.).
  • Support the Director of Campus Ministry in coordinating Sodality Small Faith-Sharing groups and in training new mentors (primarily outside of school hours).
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and/or evaluation of Campus Ministry and Marianist Province-sponsored events.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Theology Department and Campus Ministry.
Collaboration and Mission Integration
  • Collaborate with the Director of Campus Ministry and the Mission Integration Team to maintain and strengthen the school’s Catholic identity and Marianist culture.
  • Understand and embody the Marianist Charism.
  • Actively participate in Marianist sponsorship formation programs and serve on the school’s Mission Integration Team.
Other Duties
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active, practicing Catholic who fosters an active love of God and inspires students to seek a deeper knowledge of God.
  • Strong commitment to the values of a Catholic, Marianist education.
  • Robust understanding and experience of Campus Ministry programs.
  • Exemplary work ethic characterized by high standards of ethics and personal conduct, honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Experience teaching high school students and delivering lessons that support and instruct students in analytical and evaluative thinking, reading, and writing skills.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, along with experience organizing and implementing Campus Ministry programs or other youth ministry programs.
