Jim Tawney

Interim Principal
We are excited to welcome Mr. Jim Tawney to the Irish Family as our Interim Principal. After graduating from the University of Akron, he began his teaching career at St. Paul Elementary School in Akron, teaching mathematics and history to seventh and eighth graders. He spent the next three decades at Lake High School in Uniontown teaching mathematics, then serving as assistant principal for two years, and principal for eight years. Upon retirement from Lake, he returned to the Catholic school environment by being a principal of St. Vincent DePaul Elementary School for nine years. After his second retirement he has been teaching trigonometry at Walsh University and tutoring students in math at Our Lady of the Elms Lower School.

Jim and his wife Chris (Dies) V64, have three children and eleven grandchildren.
