Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

 

STVM offers 18 Advanced Placement (AP) courses that students can take to earn college credit.

STVM boasts a strong track record, with nearly 80 percent of students achieving a score of 3 or higher on AP exams in 2026, and 77 of those students receiving AP Honors designations for achieving high scores on three or more AP exams.

College Credit Plus (CCP) & DUAL ENROLLMENT

STVM students may earn dual college credit and high school credit through a partnership with Kent State University, Stark State College, and the University of Akron. There are multiple options for taking these courses, which are taught at STVM, by STVM teachers:

  • Algebra for Calculus
  • College & Career Success Skills
  • College Writing
  • French
  • Introductory Statistics
  • Intuitive Calculus
  • Research Writing
  • Trigonometry

In the event of personnel changes or lack of student interest, courses may be cancelled.

STVM offers a variety of Honors courses designed to challenge students seeking a more in-depth and rigorous study of the course content. These include:
