Biography

Mrs. Spinner serves the STVM community as the Director of Campus Ministry and Mission Integration. She leads our students in the Marianist Catholic tradition through Marianist LIFE (Living In Faith Experience) activities, liturgical celebrations, prayer opportunities, and retreat programs. She grew up in Parma, Ohio where she attended Valley Forge High School, and was an active member of the Holy Family Parish. After graduation, she went on to Ashland College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Radio & Television Communications. Following a few years working in television news, she continued her education at Kent State University earning a Master of Arts in Teaching. Mrs. Spinner taught for seven years in the Parma City School District, three years for Akron Public Schools, and 14 years at St. Hilary School in Fairlawn. At St. Hilary’s she taught several subjects including Theology/Confirmation Preparation. Mrs. Spinner has spent extensive time with members of the Marianist Province of the United States, and studying Marianist History and Spirituality. She married her high school sweetheart, Stephen, in 1990. They live in Copley, Ohio and have three children: Bailey VM13, Griffin VM16, and Hope VM18. They belong to St. Hilary Parish in Fairlawn.
