Two students have gone above and beyond to serve others during their time at STVM. In this edition of our "Service Spotlight," we look into some of the good works of STVM sophomore Ty Williams and senior Jahiem Peake.

Ty Williams, sophomore
For the fifth year, STVM sophomore Ty Williams led his Christmas Day Mission for the Akron Snow Angels. Ty has been actively involved with the Akron Snow Angels, a non-profit organization that helps to provide some basic essentials and friendship to the local homeless community. In 2015, Ty started the Christmas Day Mission because he felt that the friends he met while volunteering with Akron Snow Angels deserved a hot meal and fellowship on Christmas. Ty also plays baseball at STVM.

Jahiem Peake, senior
STVM senior Jahiem Peake spent his Christmas Eve at Akron Children's Hospital helping Santa and Mrs. Claus prepare and deliver presents to patients. This program helps to spread joy to children and their families who are in the hospital for an extended period of time, especially during the Christmas season. Jahiem regularly volunteers at Akron Children's Hospital when he's not in school, playing a sport, or involved in Future Medics. This was his second time volunteering for the Christmas event and Jahiem anticipates that this will be an annual tradition for a long time. Jahiem also plays football and wrestles at STVM. He also has been an influential leader in the Future Medics program at STVM and has helped to lead several blood drives.
