Dear St. Vincent-St. Mary High School Community,
It is with a grateful heart that I continue to serve as the President of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. I value my role in this vibrant school community and am honored to provide leadership at such a fine Catholic educational institution. We are a family-oriented school that embraces students of all faiths and cultures.
We are extremely proud to be a Marianist-sponsored school. The Marianist sponsorship is a good fit for St. Vincent-St. Mary because we have always been committed to following the teachings of Jesus not only as individuals but also as a community. That commitment aligns with the Marianist Family which believes that people learn, serve and pray most effectively in community, as part of a family. It provides our faculty, staff and parents a foundation of the Marian way of life.
Since returning to my alma mater in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer and assuming the role as President in 2013, it is my responsibility for implementing the Catholic mission and vision of the school; for strategic planning; for the supervision of the principal, business office, admissions, athletics, and advancement; and the well-being of the facilities. I work closely with the board of directors to provide direction and vision to the school and am accountable for the overall success of the school.
Principal Gorr is responsible for all internal aspects of the day to day operation of the school as it relates to academics, including supervision and guidance of the faculty, academics and discipline. This President/Principal model allows Mrs. Gorr to fully concentrate on the educational operation of the school while giving me the responsibility for facilities, strategic vision and raising the resources required to keeping St. Vincent-St. Mary successful and affordable for our families.
We are fortunate for all the hard work and dedication of time and talent that our faculty, staff and community have contributed over many years. Together we can continue to make St. Vincent-St. Mary the Catholic high school of choice. I encourage all of you to get involved and be part of the wonderful community that will allow STVM to continue on its path to success.
Mr. Tom Carone VM77
