STVM Hires Podlogar and Laviano as Co-Head Swim Coaches

St. Vincent-St. Mary High School today announced the hiring of Melanie Laviano and Gabriella Podlogar as Co-Head Swim Coaches.
Coach Melanie Laviano is a graduate of Nordonia High School, where she was a member of the swim team for four years. She previously worked at Macedonia Recreation Center as a lifeguard and swim instructor. She is currently a senior at the University of Akron, working towards her Bachelor’s degree in middle level education. Coach Laviano commented, “I am excited to begin working with this team, and coach each swimmer to their full potential”.
 
Coach Gabriella Podlogar is a graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School. She swam for twelve years for various teams including the Waves Swim Club, CFYN Tigersharks, Cuyahoga Falls and Walsh Jesuit. She is in her first year at the University of Akron, working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity Engineering. Coach Podlogar commented, “I am excited for the team’s potential and can’t wait to get started working with the student-athletes”.
 
Meet the coach night is scheduled for October 25, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the Student Center at STVM.
