Amie Hale Named Assistant Principal for Student Life

Amie Hale has been appointed as the Assistant Principal for Student Life at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.
Starting August 1, she will join the school’s leadership team with administrative responsibilities focusing on creating environments and initiatives that support students’ holistic learning, well being and sense of belonging.  Mrs. Hale is a student-centered leader committed to creating a positive school culture that supports academic excellence and student growth.

Following an extensive search and interview process, Amie Hale rose as the top candidate above a highly competitive group of professional educators, and we are thrilled she has accepted our offer.  Amie joined the STVM staff during the 2021-2022 school year serving as the Instructional Coach, a role which supported teachers in their classroom instruction. She also helped coordinate AP testing and taught a Marianist History class. Amie started her educational career nearly two decades ago teaching high school science including Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, and Astronomy. She has taught at public high schools in the greater Cleveland and Akron area. Amie also coached JV softball and served as Student Council Advisor, a role in which she received the Ohio Student Council Advisor of the Year in 2010. After 11 years in the classroom, Amie moved into an administrative role, serving as Principal of St. Paul Catholic School in North Canton. As principal, Amie initiated enhanced school safety and security measures across the school and church campus, implemented 1:1 technology for students in grades K-8, planned and coordinated the school’s 100th anniversary celebration, developed strong relationships with teachers and parents, planned and oversaw building and classroom renovations, and was always a strong advocate for students in all areas including academics, student support services, social/emotional health, arts, and athletics. While she misses working with elementary students, she is happy to be back at the high school level, where she feels a special calling to work with teens. She hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of students and teachers at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.

Amie and her husband, Beau, live in North Canton with their three sons. They spend the majority of their time at baseball, football, and soccer games or practices for their boys. In her free time, Amie enjoys spending time with friends and family, gardening, reading, and crafting with her Cricut.
