Ten Faculty Members Participate in Polar Bear Jump Challenge to Raise Money for the Ronald McDonald House

Feb 13, 2020

The Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump has been raising money for local charities since 2004. To date, the jump averages over $100,000 per year for a rotation of charities, including the Ronald McDonald House of Akron. This year, ten brave faculty members at STVM are giving students, parents and alumni the opportunity to make them “go jump in a freezing lake” by collecting donations for the Ronald McDonald House. The faculty member with the most donations will be required to jump on February 29, 2020. Donations may be made during lunch periods February 11-28 and online using the link below.

You may vote for the following to jump in the lake:

  • Mrs. Gorr
  • Mr. McKrill
  • Mr. Murphy
  • Mrs. Petrilli
  • Mr. Paolucci
  • Mrs. S. Miller
  • Ms. Neal
  • Ms. Hovey
  • Mr. Corbett
  • Mrs. Shoemaker
