STVM Seniors Embark on Capstone Experience
May 11, 2018
On Monday, May 7, all STVM seniors started their two week required Capstone Experience where they are shadowing a person in their future career field of interest. The Senior Capstone Project, endorsed by the faculty, school administration and Executive Board, is designed to provide our students with the opportunity to prepare to learn how to lead and to serve while making connections and discoveries in the fields in which they are interested.
This opportunity helps to give our students a glimpse of what the specific career field they chose goes through on a day-to-day basis. A hands-on experience is always one that serves as the best indicator if our students would like to pursue this career in the future, which we believe will have a great impact on their college major decision at an earlier stage than other students. This is one of the many experiences that makes STVM a unique place for our students! Learn more about our Capstone Experience program.
We wish our seniors the best of luck in these two weeks before they wrap up their final couple of weeks as high schoolers. Thank you as well to the countless mentors who have stepped up to allow our students to shadow them!
