Natalie Walter VM11 Named New Head Girls Volleyball Coach

Mar 02, 2021

STVM is excited to announce the hiring of our new head girls volleyball coach, Natalie Walter VM11.

Walter is a 2011 St. Vincent-St. Mary alum. She played for the STVM Volleyball program for four years as an outside hitter. After high school, she attended Otterbein University and received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During her time at Otterbein she competed collegiately for their equestrian team and was a member of their National Reserve Champion team her junior year. Throughout college and after graduation, she has coached and continues to be active in the club scene with various volleyball clubs in the Columbus and Akron areas.

For the past five years, Walter was coaching for a Division I school in Columbus, Ohio (Thomas Worthington High School). While coaching for the Cardinals, she worked to build up the program and went 16-6 in her last season (2020).

Walter currently works at Battelle Memorial Institute as a Sr. Subcontracts Specialist. In both her professional and volleyball careers, education is a huge focus. She enjoys teaching the fundamentals and seeing players improve as they tackle new skills. She is very excited to represent the Fighting Irish and continue to build on their tradition of excellence in the classroom, on the court, and in the community.

STVM held a welcome meeting with current and past players last week. If you missed it or you are virtual, please contact girlsvolleyball@stvm.com to reach Coach Walter.
