Mrs. Luanne Richardson Speaks to STVM Local History Class

Aug 30, 2017

On Monday, August 28 and Tuesday, August 29, St. Vincent and St. Vincent-St. Mary graduate and retired teacher Mrs. Luanne Richardson spoke to Mr. Boarman's Local History students about the history of the school. Mr. Boarman's students have recently been studying the rich history of St. Vincent-St. Mary and have used Richardson's An Irish Memoir to reflect back on some important details and events that have left a mark on the school.

Richardson reflected on her time as a student and as a teacher in the old St. Vincent school building that is currently where the St. Vincent Family Center now sits. She spoke about a wide range of topics that helped to give students an understanding of the similarities and the differences of being a student in the 20th Century compared to today.

We would like to thank Mrs. Richardson for taking time out of her day to share her wealth of knowledge and history with our current students. People like her are what make St. Vincent-St. Mary a truly special place!
