Greenleaf Family Center Speaks to STVM Sophomores & Juniors During Suicide Prevention Month

Sep 24, 2020

September is Suicide Prevention Month, which is another opportunity to continue the important conversation with our students about suicide. This week, the counselors at STVM invited Mr. Bennett and Ms. Roe from Greenleaf Family Center to present to all of our sophomores and juniors on "Signs of Suicide and How to "A.C.T" - acknowledge, care, and tell. This is a reminder to our students to recognize these signs in themselves, a friend or a family member and to tell a trusted adult. Students were able to do a self referral at the end of the presentation to talk with a counselor if they have concerns for themselves or a loved one.
