STVM Future Medics to Host Blood Drive on Friday, January 29 in Memory of Ayanna Culler
Jan 26, 2021
Share the miracle of life with the world! All STVM students, parents, alumni and community members are invited to help save lives from 8:00-2:00 on Friday, January 29. This blood drive is in memory of Ayanna Culler, daughter of STVM assistant football coach Raschi Culler, who passed away last February. Walk-ins are welcome. Strict COVID-19 guidelines will be in place to ensure a comfortable experience for all donors. Please consider donating and assisting in saving lives!
Students must be 16 (with parent consent) or 17 (no parent consent needed). All other requirements to donate blood can be found here.
Concerned about giving blood during the COVID-19 pandemic? Read more about this topic on the American Red Cross website. “You can still go out and give blood. We’re worried about potential blood shortages in the future. Social distancing does not have to mean social disengagement.” -U.S. Surgeon General
All donations are being tested for COVID-19 antibodies. Blood donations that test positive for COVID-19 antibodies could provide convalescent plasma for critically ill coronavirus patients.
