Unrivaled Decade

STVM Athletics: An Unrivaled Decade From 2010-2019, St. Vincent-St. Mary student-athletes dominated their competition. Over the course of a decade, the Fighting Irish racked up 13 team State Championships and 19 individual/relay State Championships. What is most impressive about these accomplishments is that the success on the field happened across eight different teams: boys basketball, competition cheer, girls cross country, boys cross country, football, boys track, girls track and wrestling. This included four of the five consecutive State Championships for the girls cross country team as well as the boys basketball team becoming the OHSAA-leading school in state championships (eight) after their 2018 title.

For the last ten years, hundreds of our student-athletes have raised the gold trophy and stood high and proud on the medal stand. Our athletes have also been able to experience unrivaled success at the district, regional and state level in almost every sport. We congratulate all of the coaches, athletes and the Irish supporters for contributing to the long-standing athletic tradition "High Atop a Hill in Akron!"
