Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

The 2016 ALSF Student Leadership Academy is open to current high school sohomores and juniors and will begin on Monday, July 25th and will last through Thursday, July 28th, 2016 at Villanova University. The program, lodging and meals are provided free of charge to accepted students (students must arrange their own transportation to Philadelphia).

Duke University Summer Academy for High School Students

Duke Summer Academy for High School Students is offering exciting new courses in 2015! Have fun and enjoy personal enrichment classes with academically-motivated students from around the world in Duke University's Summer Academy for High School Students. Students currently in grades 9 - 12 are eligible to apply. We still have room in:

  • The Global Entrepreneur: learn problem solving skills and learn about the needs, opportunities and complexities of the global market.
  • The Global Healer: learn about his class the most pressing health issues facing the world today and about different cultural perspectives on medicine.
  • The Global Leader: learn leadership skills and learn about diplomacy and Model United Nations.

John Carroll University Health Information Technology Camp

The camp is for current sophomores and juniors interested in the field of healthcare, computer science and other technology fields. There are two week long day camps from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm 1. Building Mobile Apps in Healthcare IT ( July 13-17, 2015) 2. IBM Watson Technology in Healthcare IT (July 20-24, 2015) Students may register for one camp or both. Students who complete both weeks are eligable for one college credit from John Carroll.

Women in Engineering

The University of Dayton is offering a program for girls interested in a total immersion into the world of engineering. The ladies will spend a week on campus learning bout the various engineering majors and what it is like to live on their college campus. There are many perks to participating in this program. Ohio Business Week

Any Junior or Senior student interested in the broad field of business. Must have at least a 2.5 gpa or better. Have no history of disciplinary action and involved in extracurricular activities

The event will be held June 20-26 at Youngstown State University and July 11-17 at Ohio Dominican University.

The Junior Executive Business Program for Diverse Students – must be a high achieving junior or sophomore from disproportionally represented cultural backgrounds.

This is the only week-long business camp in Ohio where high school students practice tackling real business world challenges while having a real college experience. Miami University

Deadline: May 1

Greetings from Oxford, Ohio! Are your students looking for something to do this summer? Encourage them to consider Miami University's Junior Scholars Program, a six-week residential experience for rising high school seniors from across the U.S. and around the world.

Students taking part in the program have the opportunity to earn up to eight hours of college credit while taking university courses taught by our nationally-recognized faculty. They also live in a residence hall with other Junior Scholars and participate in educational seminars, social and cultural events, and recreational programs.

Participants who successfully complete the Junior Scholars Program and meet other minimum requirements are also guaranteed admission to Miami University.

Program Dates: June 24 - August 3

This is an opportunity for high achieving, rising juniors and seniors to spend two weeks on Miami's campus exploring a topic of their choice with an acclaimed Miami faculty member. The program offers students a significant advantage in the college application process with workshops on essay writing, intro to financial aide and scholarships as well as developing leadership skills.

American Free Enterprise and Leadership Conference

Deadline: June 1

This program is an intensive one-week introduction to business economics and the benefits of American Free Enterprise. Ohio Business leaders deliver the majority of presentations, and also participate as members of panel discussion groups. They are joined by a small number of free market oriented faculty members. The core instruction provides the foundation for the two college credit course Free Market Economics; ECO 10302.

Students form companies, producing and selling a product.
