The Spanish Club is open to all current Spanish students with a love of the Spanish language and culture.It meets the second Thursday of the month, usually in Room 342. It is a time for socializing, using Spanish in activities and games and to learn from guest speakers. Members must attend four meetings by December to remain a member in the club and receive benefits. Foreign Lanuage Club offers a tuition grant of $250.00 to a worthy club member at the end of the year.
In the Fall
- Spanish Club opened the year by watching a video from Peru, courtesy of Mrs. Ortiz, of kindergarten students thanking our students for their book donations. We sampled Peruvian candy.
- In October we ate popcorn and watched movie shorts in Spanish for a mini International Film Festival. Afterwards, we headed to Mariachi Coco’s in the Valley for some delicious Mexican food.
- In November we sweated to ZUMBA lessons.
In the Winter
- In December, we decorated the Christmas Tree with giant tissue paper flowers and ornaments from Mexico, El Salvador and Peru.
- We celebrated Christmas with the other language clubs with the international food- pizza .

In the Spring
- In March we played games after school. Scattergories in Spanish anyone?
- Field Trip to the Cleveland International Film Festival.
- Alex Pressman was on the film festival selection committee!
- April was the month for International Volleyball Game Competition.
Travel Opportunity
- July 8, 2013- Make plans to spend 10 days traveling to Madrid and Paris! French and Spanish students will travel together to these two important European cities. Stay tuned for details.
