2016 Yearbooks Are In!

Senior Mitchell Adamczyk Named National Merit Semi-Finalist

Senior Mitchell Adamczyk scored among the top 1% of the 1.5 million Juniors who took the PSAT in October of 2015. Mitchell has been named a National Merit Semi-Finalist. Three additional STVM Seniors have been recognized as National Merit Commended Scholars: Rose Carlyon, Joseph Conti, and Cameron Squire.

Freshman Honors Global Class Skypes with Teen in Pakistan

The freshman in Honors Global Studies had the opportunity to converse through a Skype conference with Zainab Asghar, a 17-year-old girl who currently lives in Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan. The STVM students read I am Malala as part of their summer reading assignment for class and have been discussing the book, Malala’s experiences, and the importance of considering multiple perspectives before making a decision or judgement. Congratulations to the All-American Model United Nations Team winning Best Delegation in China. St. Vincent- St. Mary Juniors Alex Albanese and Mikey Dianetti were two members of the team of 12 that competed at WEMUN Expo 2016 in Beijing, China.
