Career Connections

Complete our easy online registration form to participate in Career Connections 2016!

St. Vincent-St. Mary High School invites you to serve as a featured mentor at our annual Career Connections Career Fair. Career Connections will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 8:00 A.M to 10:00 A.M at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School's LeBron James Arena.

Career Connections is a chance for our students to learn first-hand from professionals about career opportunities and professional paths. We invite you to join us to share your knowledge with our students about your profession and the education route you followed to get where you are today! Many of our students are exploring their options for college majors and careers, and you will be vital in aiding them in this process. We are hoping to have representatives from many professions including (but not limited to) law, medicine, engineering, business, education, and technology.

Please arrive by 7:30AM to enjoy a continental breakfast before our students enter. Students will be visiting in two groups:

  • Freshmen and Sophmores
  • Juniors and Seniors

There will be a 15 minute break for mentors in between these two sessions.

Each mentor will be provided with their own 'station' in which to display information and materials. Each station is equipped with a six foot table and two chairs. We encourage each mentor to bring props, signage, business cards, or any other related items that may engage and educate students about your field. If you choose to share a PowerPoint Presentation at your station, we can supply you with electrical power, upon request, for your own electronic device.

Also, please include information regarding possible internships with your organization that may be available to STVM students.

Students are required to write a one page paper regarding their interested field of study. They may ask you specific questions or even ask you for contact information to follow up with after the event.

This year, the seniors will be required to complete a Senior Capstone Experience. They will spend two weeks in May 2016, unpaid, in a career field of their interest. If you are interested in mentoring our seniors, please note it on the form. You will receive more information at a later date.

Thank you for your consideration and time. Your experience and knowledge can truly help our students discover their future career path. Questions? Please contact Courtney Conley, Director of Constituent Relations at (330)253-9113 ext 120 or
