Coach Ron Winer enters his fourth year as Head Coach for the Lady Irish Bowling Team.

Coach Winer was a member of the Professional Bowling Association (PBA) for 20 years and bowled on the Pro Tour in 1971. In addition, Coach Winer taught a bowling course at The University of Akron for 3 years in the late 1970s. Currently, Coach Winer is a partner in the CPA firm of Winer & Bevilacqua, Inc. (located in Fairlawn, Ohio), as well as part owner of Stonehedge Family Fun Center on Cuyahoga Falls Avenue in Akron, Ohio.

The Lady Irish bowling team’s record last year was 10 wins and 2 losses. Coach Winer states, “Returning on the Varsity team this year are seniors Tashay Pringle, Jasmine Gao, and Jessa Blankenship. Junior Celeste Hall will play an integral part in the success of the varsity team this year. We have many juniors on the team with limited experience but a genuine desire to work hard and assist in the success of the bowling season. We are looking forward to a competitive season.”

Coach Winer and his wife, Kay, have three children—Natalie VM09, a junior at John Carroll University; Maddie VM11, a freshman at Kent State University; and Max Winer, a high school junior.
