Head Coach Anthony Gary returns for his 4th year as Head Coach of the Fighting Irish Wrestling Team. Coach Gary was a 3x High School All-American, a 2x Ohio State Champ High School National Champion. In addition, Coach Gary was a 2x NCAA Qualifier for OSU.
Coach Gary comments, “The 2010-2011 STVM Wrestling season was a positive year for the Irish. Coming off the 5 th place finish in Division 2 tournament with State Champion Michael Rix, State Placers Ray Stone, Ryan Skonieczny, Carlos Lugo and State Qualifier Walter Gibson, the 2011-2012 Irish look to improve upon the finish last year with returning wrestlers Rix, Stone, Skonieczny and Gibson plus Aaron Adkins and some promising freshmen. Look for the Irish to improve upon last year’s state finish with multiple state placers and state qualifiers. It will be a very exciting season for the Irish Wrestlers.”
